Our Medical & Advisory Board is comprised of health, nutrition and exercise specialists who guide and contribute to product research and development and provide oversight for information included on our web sites, newsletters, weekly health support messages and System materials. Selected Members provide support, information and guidance to all individuals who contact Insulite Laboratories about their insulin-related disorders and implementation of the Insulite Systems. Insulite Laboratories recognizes that our customers succeed at a much greater rate when they receive support for their lifestyle changes. The Board is also an educational resource for healthcare professionals who advocate Insulite Laboratories' Systems for their clients.

Insulin Resistance is an often silent condition that affects millions of
Americans.
As a factor that has previously been under-recognized by patients and
physicians, Insulin Resistance is an important precursor to the epidemics of
diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

goal is to help individuals who are affected by Insulin Resistance
recognize that exercise is of critical importance to their well
being and assist them in making regular physical activity a lifelong
habit.

Insulin resistance, recognized as the main culprit underlying metabolic syndrome, is a disorder that most people will face by the time they reach middle age. Sadly, they will not even know of their condition until suffering its final health outcomes.
My personal philosophy is to implement various holistic approaches to restore the human body's balance by using correct nutrition, daily exercise, active lifestyle modifications and dietary supplementation. The portfolio of dietary formulas and behavioral changes offered by Insulite Laboratories is addressing insulin resistance as central to metabolic syndrome healing, and represents an important part of my metabolic program.
Brian Zehetner is a Nutrition and Fitness Consultant and owner of Fueling Performance LLC in Woodbury, MN. Combining his expertise as a Registered Dietician and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, he is a sports nutrition consultant to the Detroit Tigers Baseball team and the Milwaukee Bucks Basketball team. Formerly Lead Nutritionist at Canyon Ranch SpaClub in Las Vegas and Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Las Vegas, Mr. Zehetner is a free lance writer and consultant for numerous publications including Maximum Fitness Magazine, FitnessRx for Women and Life Extension Magazine.
Clinical research has proven that weight loss, dietary modifications and
exercise each independently improve Insulin Resistance and slow the progression of Cardiovascular Diseases and Diabetes. Thus, our approach is
to foster lifestyle change from this comprehensive perspective, allowing
each person to maximize benefits to their overall health.
Dr. Davis specializes in family practice at both Kaiser Permanente and Exempla Health Care in Colorado and has been a family practitioner for 27 years. He is also certified in Occupational Medicine and Acupuncture for pain control. He received his M.D. at the University of Michigan and was previously Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the University of California Medical School in San Francisco.
What I find compelling about the Insulite Systems is how comprehensive they are in dealing with what I believe will be shown to be a major cause of many degenerative diseases – the inappropriate build up of insulin in the blood. The many well researched ingredients in the supplements attack the problem of Insulin Resistance from a variety of biochemical pathways derived from many different, well accepted theories and clinical studies. In addition, the support for lifestyle changes and the follow-up that we offer is unlike any other product or system sold in the marketplace.
Dr. Ellsworth is a Naturopathic Medical Doctor practicing in Scottsdale, AZ and specializes in integrating naturopathic solutions with medical science. He received his Bachelor of Science at Cornell University where he was a Research/Surgical Assistant and a Guest Lecturer. Upon graduating, Dr. Ellsworth was a Nutritional Consultant in New York State. His interest in the effects of nutraceuticals on disease resulted in the creation of Five Seasons Corp. which developed nutritional supplements. His interest in naturopathic modalities led him to attend Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ where he graduated in 2006.
Insulin Resistance is a health condition that is silently stalking the American public. In most instances it is directly related to the over consumption of refined carbohydrates and lack of essential nutrients in the Standard American Diet (SAD).
There is much confusion in public perception due to erroneous food pyramids that are promoted by government agencies and independent societies that are, unfortunately, based on outdated science.
The purpose here is to help people with Insulin Resistance through diet, lifestyle and nutritional intervention, with education being the key to success.
Dr. Hite is a Clinical Health Educator, Chronic Conditions Management with the Permanente Medical Group in Sacramento, CA. where he directs self-care skills and disease management education for individuals with diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and other disorders. He developed www.HealthDoc.org to provide educational support for diabetics and wrote/produced the DVD "Take Control: Diabetes Basics." Dr. Hite received his PhD in Health Education from City University in Los Angeles and completed further graduate studies at the School of Public Health, Loma Linda University, CA. Having been a Health Education Specialist for San Bernadino (CA) Dept of Public Health – Disease Control in the AIDS Program, Dr. Hite undertook volunteer relief work in HIV/AIDS, STD prevention along the Thailand/Burma border.
Insulin resistance is the most insidious factor affecting our health and well-being today. Reversing this condition requires an integrative approach that encourages proper nutrition, increased physical activity, and provides necessary information and emotional support.
Remember what you do to maintain good health when you leave the doctor’s office is just as important as anything the doctor can do. In fact, you are the most important part of the process of staying well.
Providing guidance and support to individuals with insulin-related disorders is Insulite Laboratories' Consulting & Advisory team:
Dr. Cohen lends her expertise in drug-nutrient-herb interactions, carbohydrate addiction and the pathophysiology of Insulin Resistance to Insulite Laboratories in addition to providing professional guidance to individuals with insulin-related disorders. She has developed the company's 52-week Protocol for customers on the Insulite Systems and has co-written The Insulite Guide to Reversing Insulin Resistance and its Related Conditions which is available exclusively to Insulite customers. A graduate of the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, from which she finished second in her class, Dr. Cohen is a clinical practitioner in New Hampshire where she sponsors a PCOS support group. She is the author of the prize-winning article "Melatonin, Menstruation and the Moon" published in The Townsend Letter for Doctors and Patients.
I am committed to reversing the growing trend of Insulin Resistance that we see especially in the developed world. Insulin Resistance leads to many serious chronic conditions and is usually readily healed with lifestyle changes and nutritional supplementation. This is truly a modifiable health risk that healthcare practitioners have an obligation to address.
Dr. Kellum specializes in nutritional, homeopathic and botanical medicines and, as a member of Insulite's Consulting & Advisory Teams, she counsels individuals through the company's outreach program that is available to customers and non-customers alike. She is an honors graduate of the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine where she contributed to a literature review by the Diabetes Research Group on the modes and efficacy of naturopathic treatments for Type 2 Diabetes. A primary care practitioner, Dr. Kellum is a contributing author of the Board Review Study Materials for Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Examination.
I look for the root cause of an illness or imbalance in a patient. With an increasing number of people being diagnosed with Metabolic Syndrome and Diabetes Mellitus, it is not surprising to see, at the same time, an increasing number of women being diagnosed with PCOS. All of these conditions have a common root cause, Insulin Resistance.
Dr. DeLuca received her Naturopathic Degree and B.S. in Nutrition from Bastyr University in Washington state. Her particular interests include research in the fields of nutrition, diet and nutrient therapies. She coaches Insulite Laboratories' customers on their insulin-related conditions through the company's comprehensive outreach program. At her practice in Kingston, Pennsylvania, Dr. DeLuca specializes in counseling as well as nutritional, botanical, orthomolecular and physical medicines.
One of the goals of Naturopathic Medicine is to find the cause of illness.
With the rise of obesity, Type 2 Diabetes and Metabolic Syndrome, along with their many complications, research is revealing one of the main causes to be Insulin Resistance. Although important, it is not enough to just treat the symptoms. You have to treat the cause, too. A balanced, nutritious diet plan and a program of regular exercise are proving to be crucial to help reverse these diseases and allow people to regain control of their health.
I am very excited to be a part of a team that is making a difference in people's lives by taking a lead role in preventing and reversing Insulin Resistance.
Dr. Lee provides guidance and coaching to individuals who contact the Insulite Support Network, including those using the various Insulite Systems. She undertakes research and writes articles for the company's PCOS web site and has a web-based advice column "Ask Dr. Andrea" on the Insulite PCOS Support Blog. A Naturopathic physician, Dr. Lee is a wellness consultant in South Florida. Previously, she owned Red Earth Natural Health in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. Prior to attending Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Lee worked as a senior research study associate and volunteered with a breast cancer support group in Oklahoma City, OK. Her Bachelor's degree is from the University of Alaska where she studied Psychology and Exercise Science.
Insulin Resistance is a silent condition that can wreak havoc on the body
for years before it is diagnosed. Many people are very surprised to learn
that they either already have insulin resistance or are on their way to
developing it and the long term consequences for the unchecked condition
can be physically and emotionally devastating.
Treating the cause means making daily choices that are consistent with the goal of enhancing your health. Making these healthy choices a part of your daily lifestyle will go a long way towards maintaining good health, hormonal balance, full function, and
freedom from disease for years to come.
Consulting Members:
Dr. Weiss has counseled hundreds of individuals with conditions as diverse as obesity, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, CFS, ADD, Multiple Sclerosis, liver disease, cancer and diabetes. He has advised U.S. school districts on methodologies for instituting healthy school lunch programs and the health ministries of the UK, Australia and Mexico regarding obesity and nutrition. In addition to numerous professional articles, Dr. Weiss is the author of the new book Why We Eat…and Why We Keep Eating. Dr. Weiss received his M.B.A. from Temple University and his Ph.D. from Clayton College.
As a doctor of naturopathic medicine I can attest to the fact that there is no longer a clear line between being diabetic and non-diabetic. According to Ward Dean, M.D., Medical Director of Inner Age and Director for Vitamin Research Products, and one of the most prominent anti-aging physicians in the world today, we are all diabetic. Some of us are just more diabetic than others.
The regime championed by Insulite Laboratories is not for 'the other guy.' No one can ignore a crisis that will affect almost every living adult in their lives. Insulite is bringing that message to the forefront and has developed a protocol that can be fine-turned and truly works for everyone! The results are undeniable.
Kevin Shepard brings years of education, experience and three World Power Lifting records to the Medical & Advisory Board of Insulite Laboratories. He is currently developing an exercise protocol specific to various diseases, such as Diabetes, which is an extension of his Masters research project: Resistance exercise influences mechanisms of natural immunity: natural killer cell cytotoxic activity and neutrophile functional cascade. A fitness consultant, he also teaches human anatomy and physiology at the college level. In addition to his power lifting championships, he won the Mr. Colorado Masters bodybuilding competitions in 2000 and 2003.
My belief is that exercise and other lifestyle modifications are central to reversing Insulin Resistance and other serious chronic diseases.
I am committed to identifying specific exercise regimens that will have a direct effect on healing these conditions.
"I have been on the Insulite
System for approx 3 months. I have lost 33 lbs, my liver
functions are normal and my A1C came back at 5.1, down from 8.03 months ago. I
was taking 10 Glucovance pills daily, now I take only 2 pills in the
AM. My blood sugar is normal, my energy is higher than it has been in
years and I feel great. Insulite along with a change in my diet has
changed my life.
I tell everyone that asks me what I have done to change my life, about the Insulite program.
Your product is fantastic. I have
cut out all sweets, flour, dairy and have no cravings."

"In less than 3 weeks I've started losing
weight again after being
"stuck" on Weight Watchers for about a year. I've lost about 4
lbs since
starting Insulite but more significantly my blood pressure is
well within normal limits now and I can tell my metabolism is
better. I am not getting that slump between meals and am able to control
between-meal snacking, and I have a lot of energy throughout the day rather
than periods where I need to nap. I just ordered the 6 months
supply. Thank you!"

"Researchers agree that insulin
resistance is central to the metabolic syndrome. When target
cells are unresponsive to insulin, the pancreas responds by
pouring even more insulin into the bloodstream, leading to high
levels of the hormone in the blood, a condition called
compensatory hyperinsulinemia. The high level of insulin in the
blood forces glucose into cells but also starts the events
leading to arterial damage and eventually a heart attack. Under
these conditions, a person may not manifest either diabetes or
heart disease but could well be on the way to either or both."
"I wanted to let you know how much I
appreciate your caring advice and guiding me towards taking control of my health.
It's hard to express in
words how long I have been trying to find the answers you have so easily
provided for me.
I am so excited about the positive changes in my health and I
can't wait to see where I am six months from now, yet alone the year. Thank
you again!"

"Simply losing 5-7% of your body fat (typically 10-15 pounds) and increasing your physical activity by taking a brisk walk 4-5 times a week can reduce your risk of developing Type
II Diabetes by almost 60%."
"I started your product and found
it really boosts my system,
helping me get off ground zero, and stop the spiral downwards.
It gave me the
energy to start exercising and prepare healthy meals.
You are all very supportive, even though I am on the other side
of the world
(Australia). I am very glad that I am on your product, your
weekly messages
are also very encouraging, when I am finding things a bit
harder. Thank you for everything."
"A non-pharmacologic treatment for these
patients is needed, since drugs prescribed to lower blood
pressure have been shown to actually worsen carbohydrate and
lipid metabolism in Syndrome X patients, negating the beneficial
effects of those drugs."
"I cannot believe the difference
the Insulite System has made in how I feel. My appetite has
changed tremendously. I do not crave carbs and sugar and my
appetite is somewhat diminished."

"...approximately 90% of
overweight Hispanic children with a family history for type 2 diabetes have at least one
feature of the metabolic syndrome and 30% possess the metabolic syndrome.
Our results support the view that improving insulin resistance may be crucial in the prevention
of both type 2 diabetes and premature cardiovascular disease in this at-risk subpopulation
of Hispanic youth."
